JV 1-1: The Webster City girls’ junior varsity basketball team is 1-1 following a 42-22 win over Boone and a 45-23 loss to Carroll.

Trinity Griffith posted 13 points and five rebounds in the win over Boone. Chloe Andersen added nine points and four steals.

Fallon Casey led the way with eight points and Griffith snagged nine boards against Carroll.

FRESHMEN 2-0: The Webster City girls’ freshman team opened its season with back-to-back wins over Boone, 35-12, and Carroll, 41-30.

Ava Peterson produced 13 points and six rebounds against Boone. Addie Tesdahl did a little bit of everything with six points, seven boards and six steals.

Delainey Bargfrede was the leading scorer with 14 points, and she also ripped down six caroms against Carroll. Tesdahl also scored in double figures; she finished with 10 points and four boards.
