The Lynx brought home one individual victory and 18 top-10 finishes, as they placed fifth (46 points) out of the eight teams in attendance.

Humboldt dominated its own meet with 215 points, followed by Carlisle (123) and Pocahontas Area (54).

Emma Peck was the lone medalist for WCHS, as she sprinted to the front of the field in the 400 meters and broke the tape first in 1:09.81.

WCHS placed fifth in four other events. McKenzie Mishler grabbed that spot in the 200 (29.97 seconds), as did the Lynx distance medley, shuttle hurdle and 4×400 relays.

Ashlyn Hay, Kennedy Moore and Dasha Sankey joined Peck in the distance medley. Peck, Sankey, Chloe Anderson and Shelby Queen competed in the 4×400, while Mishler, Jesslyn Messerly, Brynna Croy and Gabbie Larson comprised the shuttle hurdle quartet.

Lexi Nichols took sixth in the high jump (4-6), as did Elia Cayetano in the open 300 (53.51).

WCHS is scheduled to begin the outdoor season on Monday, April 6, at the Richard Ryan Relays in Gowrie.
