Volunteer workers needed for 3 upcoming meets in Webster City

Lynx Invite to be held on Sept. 3, middle school meet Oct. 7, and NCC meet Oct. 15

WEBSTER CITY — With three upcoming home meets on the schedule, the Webster City cross country program is asking for volunteers to come forward to help make the events successful.

Tony Bussan has taken on the role of volunteer director of the meets and he’s hoping there are plenty of local individuals willing to help out.

“Any and all past volunteers, or any past members of the Webster City cross country program would be greatly appreciated, but experience is not required,” Bussan said. “I’m more than willing to train anybody if they’re willing to help.”

WCHS will host the Lynx Invitational on Tuesday, Sept. 3 at 5 p.m. The Lynx will hold a middle school meet on Monday, Oct. 7 at 5 p.m., and then eight days later on Tuesday, Oct. 15, they will host the North Central Conference meet that will get underway at 3:45 p.m.

All three meets will be held at The Links.

Bussan says he needs volunteers to help at the finish line, on the course and in various other capacities. Workers for the Lynx Invite, which is less than two weeks away, is currently the most pressing concern.

Anyone who wants to volunteer can get in touch with Bussan either by email (busnwc@msn.com) or by phone (515-297-0336). If calling, Bussan asks that you please leave a message and he will get back to you as soon as possible.
