Hawks handle Tigers in 2, Royals in 3

JEWELL — The South Hamilton volleyball team swept Madrid and then took down Colo-NESCO in three sets on Coach Jim Marsh Court last night.

The Hawks (5-2) barely broke a sweat in dismantling the Tigers, 25-15 and 25-6. Following a break, they claimed the opening set from Colo-NESCO, dropped the second and then claimed the tiebreaker to earn the 2-1 win. Set scores were 25-16, 10-25, 15-11.

Individual statistics were not available as of press time.

South Hamilton’s busy opening week of the season will continue on Saturday when it will head to Clarion to take part in the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Invite.
