Swenson, Alsager go 1-2, Hawks throttle Gaels

FORT DODGE – Carly Swenson shot a season-low round and South Hamilton owned the first- and second-place slots on the individual leaderboard on its way to a dual-meet victory at Lakeside Golf Course on Monday.

Swenson toured the back nine in 45 to take the top spot, seven shots ahead of teammate and runner-up

Sidney Alsager (52).

MaKayla Cavan turned in a 57 and Jasmine Hyland added a 63 to give the Hawks a 217 and an easy victory over host St. Edmond (282).

“MaKayla played well on the tricky back nine,” South Hamilton head coach Kathi Fisher said.

Maggie Fitzgerald paced the Gaels with a 54.
