The Webster City baseball team picked up a North Central Conference doubleheader sweep over Hampton-Dumont/CAL here Monday night.
Scores were 9-0 and 14-2 in five innings.
In the opener, the Lynx put up five runs in the second to support Gavin Griffith and Carter Mickelson, as the pair combined for a two-hitter with seven strikeouts.
Mickelson and Aiden Hrnicek both had triples while Griffith had two doubles. Gordon Bargfrede also recorded a double.
Griffith, Alex Staley and Bargfrede each had two hits, as Griffith drove in a pair. Six other Webster City hitters had an RBI, as Matthew Tesdahl, Hrnicek and Bargfrede all scored two runs.
The Lynx ended the nightcap with four in the fifth, as Dyvig and Hrnicek struck out four batters. Hrnicek had another triple, with Braylon Dyvig adding two doubles and Bargfrede another.
Bargfrede drove in three, Staley and Dyvig each plated two, and both Tesdahl and Hrnicek each had three hits. Boston Farley scored three times while Tesdahl, Hrnicek and Mickelson each scored twice.
Webster City played at North Polk Tuesday, heads to Forest City Wednesday and closes the week at Osage on Thursday.
