As we near the end of this years election cycle, it seems fitting that we begin to shift our thinking to a more positive focus.
The campaigns of our elections this year don't make the list of things I'm grateful for, but the end of the campaigning is certainly on my list.
Shifting to positive outcomes is critical for our state of mind, to allow us to hope for a brighter future. The best possible outcome for us all, is to find we have elected good leaders, who will do things in the best interest of all.
That is my focus.
But there is so much more. We have so many things in our lives we need to be grateful for, from providing adequate food to nourish us, to clothing on our backs, heat in our homes, shelter over over our heads at night.
I'm grateful for the days when I didn't have enough. Enough money, enough food, enough friends, enough energy, enough love.
So today I can appreciate when I have enough. I don't need more than enough.
Too many of us think we need more.
Each of us, we need to stop today and think about our lives, the ups, the downs, surviving the bad times, and celebrating the good times. Life is too short to focus on hate and despair, please find what is good in your life, and celebrate it as we enjoy a fall full of beauty. Look around. Find the good in our surroundings. We are all very blessed to live here, and not in places that face daily sufferings. Find things to lift your spirit.
There are so many from the beginning of time through today and tomorrow; people who didn't have enough.
Be grateful for today, for what you do have, and help others find those things in their lives to lift their spirits too.
