April showers bring May flowers

What a busy April we had – Open House at Stein, Money Smart Week, Disney Institute, Home Based Business growth – and May looks to be just as much fun.

New Chamber members this month are: Webster City Links, Shay’s Country Creations, Promotions Plus, Seamonds Insurance, Central Iowa Dirt, Lion’s Club and Draegers. We’re thrilled to have them on board.

Friday is St. Thomas Ball After Hours from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Join us for wine, beer and appetizers and a chance to see and bid on the silent auction items before the Ball.

Keep Iowa Beautiful Statewide Conference is here May 7 at Webster City Community Theatre and there are still tickets available. It’s an honor to be hosting the event in Webster City.

JunqueFest is at Wilson Brewer Park May 23 to 25. We expect 3,000 people to attend and enjoy the park full of junque vendors, local food, and live music all three days.

Stop by Fareway over lunch on May 10 and enjoy pork burgers and help raise funds for HERO and Save the Webster. May 13, learn how to build a boat and participate in the Cardboard Regatta in June. We’ll be boating in the outdoor swimming pool this year in June. What a great time to put a team together and challenge your friends to beat you.

May 20, stop by Mornin’ Glory in the evening to hear 5 people share what they learned at the Disney Institute (and have coffee). Bee Inspired has partnered with Verizon Wireless and the Chamber and will host an Apps Class at Mornin’ Glory on May 22. Learn the applications your kids on using on their phones and iPads, ask a lot of questions and be more involved with your children and grandchildren.

You can find more information online at www.visitwebstercityiowa.com or feel free to stop by the office.
