Pruismann supports Dave Stoakes for school board

To the editor:

As a proud father of six children within the Webster City Community School District, I am writing to express my strong support for Dave Stoakes for the Webster City School Board. I was going to stay out of this race as we have six excellent candidates that I cannot see the public going wrong with any. However, after much thought and consideration I have decided to come out in support of Dave. Dave embodies the qualities we need in leadership — professionalism, track record of success, a vision, and a genuine dedication to the future of our Webster City students and community.

Dave approaches every challenge with a business-minded perspective, always focused on finding practical, sustainable solutions that strengthen our schools for years to come. His professionalism and steady leadership style remind me so much of my own father, Marlin Pruismann — a man of integrity, hard work and deep care for the people around him. That same spirit of service and commitment shines through in everything Dave does. I can’t lie when I say that to me, a vote for Dave is in essence a vote to continue that legacy.

What stands out most to me about Dave is his motivation. He’s not running for recognition or personal gain; he’s doing this because he truly believes in the potential of Webster City’s youth and wants to ensure our schools are equipped to help every student succeed. He is past the age of having kids in the school district, however that doesn’t mean he didn’t spend plenty of nights at the Webster City courts, ballfields and buildings during his kids’ time at Webster City. He doesn’t need to be putting his neck out there like this; but he is. His forward-thinking mindset and dedication to progress make him exactly the kind of leader our school board needs.

For these reasons and many more, Dave Stoakes has my full support and my vote. I encourage my fellow community members to join me in voting for someone who is deeply invested in the betterment of Webster City’s future.
