Thank you on behalf of the Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce board

To the editor:

The Webster City Area Chamber Board of Directors would like to express their sincere gratitude to the attendees and sponsors for our most recent fundraising effort. We appreciate all those that spent the New Year’s Eve holiday with us at Briggs Woods Conference Center.

Your support and generosity impacted on our cause, and we are truly grateful for your commitment to making a positive difference in our community. We are excited about moving forward with an upper story renovation at the Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce building and the potential it has to assist our members with temporary or semi-permanent workforce housing.

A special thank you to Doc James Kumm, former Chamber Board member, for donating a large portion of his winnings of the 50/50 raffle back to the Chamber’s cause. This allowed us to nearly double our expected seed money for the project.

The turnout at the event was beyond our expectations, and it was heartening to witness the community come together in support of the Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce’s mission. The funds raised will play a crucial role in supporting our goal of building business and community and we are excited about the positive changes together we will bring about.

A special thank you goes out to our dedicated sponsors who played a key role in making this event possible, including American Sanitation, our 2023 and now 2024 presenting sponsor; Neighborhood Realty, Karl Webster City, Peoples Credit Union, Webster City Custom Meats, Hamilton County Development, WCF Financial Bank, Van Diest Medical Center, Availa Bank, Wildcat Distilling Co., and Crestview Nursing.

A special thank you to all of our vendors and colleagues including Balloon Artist Cera, Mike and Nancy Keane, and the gracious and patient staff at Briggs Woods Conference Center. A very special shoutout to Dirty Champagne, who exceeded our expectations and kept the dance floor full throughout the night. Thank you to Pat Powers of KQWC, Sarah Orton Photography, David Borer, and St. Thomas Aquinas School.

A very sincere thank you to the significant contribution of Wayne Schlotfeldt of Schlotfeldt Engineering for the professional renderings and expedited prints. Thank you to Alissa and Tony Nelson of Wildcat Distilling Co. for joining us at the event venue and providing event exclusive drink specials. We appreciate the support and partnership of all who helped by sharing our message on social media, passing out event flyers, or displaying event posters.

Your generosity and commitment to our cause exemplify the spirit of community collaboration, and we are fortunate to have such supportive partners.

We would also like to extend our appreciation to the staff members, Chamber ambassadors, and event planning committee who worked tirelessly to ensure the smooth execution of the event. Your dedication and hard work did not go unnoticed, and we are grateful for the time and effort invested in making Webster City better.

Once again, thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of our New Year’s Eve event. Your support is instrumental in advancing our mission, and we look forward to continuing our work together for the betterment of our community.
