The Van Diest Medical Center Foundation is grateful

To the Editor:

In one word — gratitude. At a time of year when we give thanks and count our many blessings, the Van Diest Medical Center Foundation wishes to thank the organizations and individuals who have supported our events and campaigns over the past year. Through the generosity of philanthropic and community partners, our hospital benefits and, in turn, patients in north central Iowa benefit greatly.

One of the more recent events was the 8th Annual Van Diest Medical Center Foundation Golf Outing, held this fall at Briggs Woods Golf Course. The outing raised more than $13,000 with proceeds to support direct patient care needs at Van Diest Medical Center and Clinics.

We wish to extend a huge thank you to the many sponsors, without whom this event would not be possible. These included our Eagle Event Sponsors: 21st Century Rehab, First State Bank/Town & Country Insurance; Webster City Custom Meats; Karl Chevrolet; Peterson Construction/K&H Corporation, Availa Bank, Groves & Chizek Law Office/Schoolhouse Construction, Platinum Connect, Stumpy’s/Stump’s Snow and Mow, Psychiatric Medical Care, Eide Bailly, Invision Architects, Graham Construction Company, and Bluestone Engineering.

Birdie Event Sponsors included: AgroLiquid, American Sanitation, The Daily Freeman-Journal, Encision, Life & Health Care, Inc., and WCF Financial Bank. Par Hole/Tee Sponsors included: Carroll and Judy Ose, D&B Building Solutions, Docs Who Care, Inc., Feld Fire, Gerber Auto Care, Heffernan Chiropractic, Highland Medical Staffing, Jim’s Carpet One Floor & Home, Turning Heads Salon, Firetrucker Brewery/High Noon/Iowa Beer Bus, Nate Mueller & Jake Mueller/Farm Bureau Financial Services, Ridge Development, Seneca Foundry, Inc., and Stanhope Locker & Market.

In addition to the sponsors, donations or prizes were received from Abens Realty, Casey’s, KQWC Radio, La Perla Jarocha, Mornin’ Glory, Chuong Garden, Leon’s Pizza, Good Life RV, Grid Iron Grill, and Kwik Star. We wish to thank Briggs Woods Golf Course also, for the outstanding venue for this event.

Thank you again for the continued support of Van Diest Medical Center. Your contributions make a difference and allow the hospital foundation to advance healthcare and projects that serve our patients and local communities. As we launch our 2023-2024 Annual Giving Campaign, we hope that you will consider making a donation to allow us to continue the meaningful work we do. Gifts of any size directly support the hospital’s mission to enhance the lives of people in our community by providing exceptional, patient-centered healthcare.

Blessings this holiday season.
