To the Editor:

The KYL Friends of the Library Committee want to express their thanks to all the people who helped make the recent fall book sale a success. A total of $2,317 was raised this fall, bringing the total raised this year to $4,458 on book sales.

There were a total of 80 volunteers that spent over 156 hours setting up, sorting books, taking in money, packing up books, and cleaning up afterwards. A special thanks goes to Sue Anderson for lining up all the volunteers, Tracy Runneberg and the (16) soccer kids she brought. Also Amanda Hicok and Dale and Gayle Olson for each taking a load of books to Des Moines at the conclusion of the sale. Also to the Friends of the Library members who help during the book sale, but also who sort books year round so the set up goes so smoothly. The money goes to help with programs at the library for children and adults alike.
