Military marker clean-up day a success

To the Editor:

On behalf of the Hamilton County Peace Officers Association I would like to take a moment to thank those who sponsored the Military Marker Clean-Up day at Graceland Cemetery in Webster City this past Saturday, May 13. Hy-Vee Food Store (Aaron Tacker, store manager and James Joachim , bakery manager) for supplying the hot dogs, hamburgers and buns for lunch, Tony’s Tire (Tony Nessa) for supplying the cleaning supplies and equipment and Chamness Technologies (Gary Chamness) for providing the grill and eating utensils. A big thank you is deserved as well to the Boy Scouts Members and their leaders for spending the day honoring our military veterans. Some valuable lessons were learned by these young men in performing this task and in honoring those who have sacrificed so much for the freedoms many take for granted. The HCPOA Members who assisted in this project greatly appreciate the support provided by these local businesses.

HCPOA Board Members,

Rod Hicok, President

Jason Dingman, Asst. Vice President

Devin West, Sgt. at Arms
