To the Editor:

As President of the Hamilton County Peace Officers Association I would like to take a minute to thank everyone from throughout Hamilton County who came out to support the “Pack the Paddy Wagon Food Drive” this past Sunday. Hamilton County residents generously donated roughly 1500 items to benefit several food pantries. The items received were divided between 4 food pantries: St. Paul’s Lutheran Church & Trinity Lutheran Church (Webster City), Stratford Lutheran Church and Upper Des Moines Outreach to help ensure everyone has food on the table for the upcoming holiday season.

Several members of the Hamilton County Peace Officers were on hand to receive donations and pack them in the paddy wagon. Everyone agreed the event was a huge success. A special Thank You to Sheriff Hagenson for the use of his Horse-Drawn Paddy Wagon and to Hy-Vee Food Store in Webster City for their support.
