Timmons has deep roots in Hamilton County

Letter to the Editor

Since returning to live in Hamilton County after many years living out of state I have appreciated getting to know a couple of the Sheriff’s Deputy through my work. Very glad that one of them, Doug Timmons is running for Sheriff.

Doug’s 22 years of service as a Deputy Sheriff gives him the experience to understand how the department works and what the department needs. I appreciate Doug’s commitment as he continues as an active member of that department continuing to make a contribution each and every day.

Doug has sought to contribute more to the Department and residents of the County through personal development as a drug recognition expert, EMT, fire fighter with the Stratford Fire and Rescue and CPR Instructor. The more Doug has learned the more he brings as the first person on the scene in any situation. In addition, he shares these skills outside the department as he has at our workplace as a CPR Instructor.

Through Doug’s involvement as a member of the Stratford City Council and pro tem mayor he has learned much about management, budget and general operations of a municipality that would be invaluable in the role of Hamilton County Sheriff.

Doug’s roots in law enforcement and Hamilton County run deep as his twenty two years of experience follow his father’s 31 years of service as a police officer in the Webster City Police Department for a combined total of over on half century of law enforcement service.

I could not recommend any candidate for Hamilton County Sheriff more strongly and would recommend all voters to cast their ballot for Doug Timmons for Sheriff.
