Says Timmons stands out as best choice for sheriff

To the Editor:

For the last 16 years I have been a proud member of the Stratford and Stanhope Fire departments, and am currently serving as Stratford fire chief for the past 5 yrs. Through my years I have worked with numerous law enforcement officers on and off the scenes of emergency situations. We have an excellent history of cooperation with all of them. I am always happy to see when Doug is on the scene, he always goes over and above to make sure that we have what we need to keep us and the situation safe. I would call him with questions and he would always come through with the information I needed.

So, needless to say, when Doug told me he was moving to Stratford and would like to join the fire department, the decision was a resounding “yes” by myself and the rest of the responders. With Doug having his EMT license, fire department, and law enforcement background he is a perfect fit. Within his first couple years on the fire dept he has received the coveted “atta-boy” award for going over and above and putting in extra effort to make the department better and has become the department’s engineer officer.

In my opinion, Doug stands out in the crowd, and would be an excellent choice for Hamilton County Sheriff. I am proud to call Doug a friend, not only does he have my back, he’ll have yours, too.
