Dennis R. Deischer

Dennis “Denny” Ray Deischer, passed away February 12, 2026, at his home in Arkansas. Denny was oldest child of Del and Margaret Deischer, was born January 14, 1946, in Burbank, California. The family later moved to Webster City, Iowa. He was a proud athlete in golf, basketball, and football at Webster City High School. Later, he attended the University of Iowa and then graduated from Central Washington University after serving in the United States Army during the Vietnam era, earning the National Defense Service Medal while stationed in Germany.

Denny built a respected career with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) in banking compliance and education, spending more than four decades helping financial institutions across the country strengthen their practices and train the next generation of compliance professionals.

Denny didn’t start out as a cowboy, but as with everything in his life, he didn’t want to be an average rider. He wanted to excel and he did. He won numerous awards with the AQHA, NSBA and MQHA. He served as Missouri Quarter Horse Association (MQHA) President in 2011. Denny, and his wife Renae Dudley, enjoyed many years of Denny’s participation in competition in various associations. Once retired, Denny and Renae moved to Arkansas in 2016.

Denny gave up his arena adventures for forests, mountains, swamps and fields. He and Renae made lifelong friendships trail riding throughout America, Canada and Europe.

But above all, Denny loved the game of golf. It had been part of his life since childhood, and in retirement, his greatest wish was simple: to play every day he could. At Lost Springs Golf and Athletic Club in Rogers, Arkansas, he did exactly that, sharing countless rounds with friends who became like family.

Denny was admitted to Mercy Hospital on December 15th, 2025, where he was diagnosed with 4th stage esophageal cancer. He entered home Hospice with Circle of Life Bentonville on February 9th and passed peacefully surrounded by family on February 12th.

Denny is survived by his wife, Renae Dudley; son, Chad Deischer (Laura Broadstone Deischer); daughter, Danielle Deischer Ayler (Luke Ayler); sister, Penny Sandvig (Mark Kiroff); niece Kerry Feuring (Wade) and sons Blake and Grant; nephew Gavin Sandvig (Shannon) and sons Ben, Sam and Joey; stepdaughter, Shannon Dudley (Jason Lalonde) and children Calvin and Parker. Denny was predeceased by his parents Del and Margaret Deischer.

His life was defined by dedication, friendship, and a deep love for the communities and passions that shaped him. A Celebration of Life will be held at Lost Springs Golf and Athletic Club in Rogers, Arkansas on April 11th at 4:00 PM.

Denny was an incredible man who touched the lives of so many in our community with his kindness and dedication. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him. Rest easy, Denny–heaven truly gained a good one.
