Holly Riemenschneider
Holly Riemenschneider, 71, of Webster City, died Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at her home. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at First Congregational U.C.C. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 9, 2026, at the church. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with the services.
Holly Marie Elkin, daughter of Elmer “Tubb” and Margaret “Bunny” (Bethell) Elkin, was born November 13, 1954, in Fort Dodge. She graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1973 and attended NIACC, graduating in 1975 as a Registered Nurse. She later went on to further her education at UNI, graduating in 2001 with a degree in health education. On November 22, 1975, Holly was united in marriage to Thomas E. Riemenschneider at the United Methodist Church in Eagle Grove. Holly worked as a nurse, dental assistant, a mother, and for many years in various positions with Webster City Schools prior to her retirement in 2010. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, reading, flowers, bird watching and loved anything sweet to eat.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Tom of Webster City; son, Mark (Vance Watts) Riemenschneider of West Des Moines; daughter, Kelly (Jody) Lewis of Fort Dodge; grandchildren, Zachary, Lucy and Joseph; sister, Heidi (David) McCuddin of Pleasant Hill; brother, Mark Elkin of Eagle Grove; sisters-in-law, Teresa Elkin of Perham, MN, and Vicky Hahne of Webster City.
Holly was preceded in death by her parents, Tubb and Bunny Elkin; brother, Thomas Elkin; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Stan and Belle Riemenschneider and sister-in-law, Cathy Vanderheiden.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left in Holly’s name to The Cat Hut in Webster City or Almost Home in Fort Dodge.
