Dan Zatloukal
Dan Zatloukal, 71, of Webster City, died Sunday, December 28, 2025, at his home following a short illness. No services are scheduled at this time. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with caring for Dan and his family.
Daniel Joseph Zatloukal, son of Arthur and Agnes (Schuller) Zatloukal, was born October 4, 1954, in Schaller, Iowa. He graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1973 and attended Iowa Central Community College. Dan was united in marriage on June 29, 1985, to Whitney Ann Bauer at Trinity Lutheran Church. He worked in construction for over 50 years, owning and operating Zatloukal Construction with his son, Brett, for the past 33 years.
He loved the outdoors, was an avid sports fan of the Hawkeyes, Chicago Cubs and the Raiders but his greatest enjoyment was playing and spending time with his grandkids.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Whitney; sons, Brett (Brittany Maas) Zatloukal of Webster City and Shaun (Elyse) Zatloukal of Boone; grandchildren, Mason, Kaiser, Owen and Olivia. His twin sister, Dona (Gene) Rohrer of Mason City and sister-in-law, Janis Zatloukal of Sioux City.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Kathryn Zatloukal as well as brothers, Patrick Zatloukal, Jerald Zatloukal and Richard Zatloukal.
