Georgianna Gourley

Georgianna Gourley, 95, of Webster City died Sunday, November 16, 2025 at Friendship Haven in Fort Dodge. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 29, 2025 at Asbury United Methodist Church with visitation 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, November 28, 2025 at Asbury United Methodist Church. A private family burial will be held at Saratoga Cemetery. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with caring for Georgianna and her family.

Georgianna Crystal, daughter of Everett and Bertha Elkin Crystal, was born on September 25, 1930 in Blairsburg, Iowa. She attended country school then graduated from Webster City Lincoln High School in 1948. She worked at First State Bank until she was united in marriage on April 30, 1955 to Gary Gourley. Georgianna then worked for Ames Trust and Savings Bank in Ames until the couple moved back to Webster City after Gary graduated from ISU in 1956 and started their 70-year farming partnership. They were blessed with five children, Gerald, Gina, George, Gene and Gerry. She was active in their church, school, 4-H and FFA activities. She worked at Swine Graphics for 8 years before her retirement in 1998. She was president of the Hamilton Co. Porkettes and a hospital gift shop volunteer. Georgianna was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church where she had taught Sunday school and helped with the Jr. and Sr. youth groups and served on several committees.

She enjoyed vacations around Dubois, Wyoming, backpacking with the family, traveling the US, Canada and around the world, river cruises, wintering in Mesa, Arizona since 1989 and square dancing for 38 years.

Georgianna is survived by her children, Gerald (Terry) Gourley of Webster City and family Sarah Holt, Breanna (Craig) Signorin, Garrett (Desi) Gourley; Gina (Brian) Smith of Ames and family Erin Smith (fiance James Larson), Drew (Hannes) Reinot, Leah Smith; George (Kathy) Gourley of Stanhope and family Sawyer (Will) Higgins, Morgan (Dylan) Fielder, Gianna (Caleb) Bartling; Gene (Maurita) Gourley of Webster City and family Gabby Gourley, and Chandler Gourley (fiance Jordan Jensen); Gerry (Teresa) Gourley of Webster City and family Teagan Gourley and Joslin Gourley; great-grandchildren, Marissa Miller; Nash, Kanon and Ike Holt; Charlotte, Grayson and Elianna Signorin; Graham Gourley; Brecken and Berit Higgins; Beau and Bodi Fielder; siblings, Evelyn Simpson of Webster City, Elizabeth Norman of Cedar Rapids,

Dorothy Buchner of Kansas City, MO, Bud (Carol) Crystal of Webster City, Bill (Diane) Crystal of Ames, Jean (Jon) Kayser of Webster City and brother-in-law Marvin Boicourt of Kansas City, MO.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary; her parents; triplet grandchildren, Ashley, Ona and Coulter Gourley; sisters, Viola Short-Barrick, Mary Boicourt and brothers-in-law, Estel Short, Harry Barrick, Dean Simpson, Royal Norman and Alfred Buchner.

Memorials may be made in Georgianna’s honor to Asbury United Methodist Church.
