Bruce Rholl

Bruce Dean Rholl, 74, of Woolstock, Iowa, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025, after declining health. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Foster Funeral & Cremation Center followed by a memorial service at 2:30 p.m. The celebration will continue at the Woolstock Community Center following the service.

Bruce was born March 31, 1951, to Harold and Loraine (Larick) Rholl at Hamilton County Hospital and grew up in Woolstock. He graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1969 and attended Iowa Central Community College and the University of Northern Iowa.

He was employed with the family business, Park Electric, in Webster City and later the Farmers Cooperative Elevator. Bruce later owned LL's which became his full-time employment. He was also active in the Woolstock community for many years as a council member and as mayor.

In school Bruce was a three-sport athlete — football, basketball and baseball. He was offered the opportunity to assist the coaching staff of Eagle Grove High School with football, baseball and softball and became varsity baseball coach, a position he had for many years. This was his dream job to be working with kids who wanted to love sports as much as he did. He was so proud of his players and their accomplishments as athletes and considered them his “kids.”

Bruce was preceded in death by his father, mother and brother, Dennis Rholl. He is survived by his sister Jody Neary (Patrick); nieces, Tami Ambrose, Anne Neary (Matthew Sheahan); nephews, Jeff Rholl, Brad Rholl, Andy Neary (Amy Cloute); several grandnieces, grandnephews as well as great-grandnephews; sister-in-law, Sharon Adams and dear friend, Beth Hilpipre.
