Ellery Koehler
Ellery Koehler, 86, of Webster City died Monday, August 25, 2025 at Van Diest Medical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 29, 2025 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is caring for Ellery and his family.
Ellery James Koehler, son of Leo and Leone (Boeckman) Koehler, was born October 2, 1938 in Fairmont, Minnesota. He attended school in Fairmont. He was united in marriage on June 18, 1966 to Carole Ann Pietsch. For 38 years, Ellery worked for Electrolux in the press department.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Carole of Webster City; daughter, Stacey (Kevin) Koehler-West of Spokane, Washington; sisters, Marlys Widmark of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Carol Cazer of Pennsylvania and his beloved dog, Harley.
Ellery was preceded in death by his son, Daron Koehler; his parents; brother, Gordon Koehler; sisters, Barbara Cory, Bernadette Jeffries and his dog, Bear.
He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Ellery enjoyed fishing, woodworking, putzing around and doing various odd jobs.
