Jennie Fye

Jennie Kay Fye, 87, of Duncombe, died Thursday, July 17, 2025, at her home with her family. No funeral or visitation services per Kay’s wishes. Her only request was to have graveside services at the Duncombe Township Cemetery in Duncombe, Friday, July 25, 2025, at 3 p.m., to anyone who would like to attend. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is caring for Kay and family.

Jennie Kay Apezarena, daughter of Martin and Vivienne Baldwin Apezarena, was born July 14, 1938, in Delta, Colorado. She graduated from Loveland, Colorado, in 1957. On July 21, 1970, she was united in marriage to Dwight Robert Fye in Eatonville, Wasington. They moved to Webster City in 1972, and later to Duncombe in 1976. Kay worked various jobs – cooking, housekeeping, sitting with the elderly and played the piano at the Duncombe United Methodist Church for years. She enjoyed gardening, playing the piano, listening to her father’s opera music, reading, and putting puzzles together. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Kay was a member of Faith United Church in Webster City, American Legion Auxiliary, book club and exercise class.

She is survived by Michael (Gayle) Wagner of Calera, Oklahoma, Mark (Margie) Wagner of Colville, Washington, Carla (Robert) Wagner-Kretz of California, Martin (Toni) Fye of Callender, Susan Marchant of Humboldt, Patricia Fye of Duncombe; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Jeanne Cowling of Colorado, and Linda Waltman of California, along with many extended family members.

Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight; son, Kris A. Fye; two still born children; both of her parents and brothers, Georgie and Ricky.
