Marilyn Daniels

Marilyn Daniels, 83, of Webster City, formerly of Duncombe, passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Crestview Nursing and Rehabilitation. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with a one-hour visitation prior to the service. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, north of Duncombe. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with the services.

Marilyn Ann Ball, daughter of Reo M. and Frieda J. Schroer Ball, was born October 14, 1941, at the family home in Duncombe. She attended school in Duncombe. Marilyn was united in marriage to Kenneth L. Daniels Jr. on September 20, 1957, at Corpus Christi Church in Fort Dodge. She worked as a homemaker while the children were growing up and then for McMurray Hatchery.

She is survived by her children, Debra (Dan) Bahrenfuss of Webster City, Steven (Kendra) Daniels of Duncombe, Terry Daniels of Webster City, Jeff (Kim) Daniels of Webster City, and Justin (Alyssa) Daniels of Duncombe; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jerald (Jean) Ball of Glidden and Father Richard Ball of Mapleton; sisters, Margaret Washington of Loves Park, IL, Lorraine (Curt) McCoskey of Webster City, Cathy Wheeler of Loves Park, IL; brother-in-law, David Hanselman of Algona and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth in 2022; her parents; great-grandson, Knox Daniels Ogg; sister, Donna Jean Hanselman and brother-in-law, Jim Wheeler.

Marilyn was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Marilyn greatly enjoyed her Sister’s Weekend trips and time with the Duncombe coffee club and exercise group.
