Nola Lovelace
Nola Lovelace, 91, of Webster City died Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at Crestview Nursing and Rehabilitation. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 27, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Foster Funeral and Cremation is entrusted with the services.
Nola May Grove, daughter of Harve and Tressie Slade Grove, was born September 15, 1932 in Hamilton County. She graduated from Radcliffe High School in 1950. On November 24, 1951, Nola was united in marriage to Arnold Dean Lovelace in Waterloo. For 30 years she worked at NW Bell Telephone Company (which later became US West, then Qwest).
She is survived by her son, Rick (Shirley) Lovelace of Webster City; daughter, Janna (Gary) Johnson of Waukee; grandchildren, Josh (Emily) Johnson, Jordan Johnson, Brooke (Philip) Hundling, Tara (John) Mullins; great-grandchildren, Kendall, Sanderson, Ryder, Wrenley, Hadley, Camden; brothers, Rex (Sue) Grove of Bettendorf, Roger Grove of Grimes and many extended family members.
Nola was preceded in death by her husband, Arnie in 2021; her parents; siblings, Ann Lemon, Neil Grove, Percy Grove and Cleo Fisher.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Van Diest Medical Center Hospital Auxiliary and the Webster City Women’s Club. Nola enjoyed golfing, baking, quilting and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes.
