John Larson

John Larson, 78, of Webster City, died Monday, May 13, 2024 at Paula J. Baber Hospice Home. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, June 10, 2024, with a Celebration of Life to be held at 5:30 pm at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center.

John Charles Larson, son of John Archer and Elvira Williams Larson, was born June 15, 1945, in Webster City. He graduated from Webster City High School. He was working for Hart Carter when he enlisted in the United States Army National Guard, serving 5 years. On November 16, 1963, John was united in marriage to Donna Mae Andrew in Webster City. During his working years, he was employed with Franklins, Farmland, City of Webster City Waste and Water treatment plants and the University of Iowa water treatment plant.

He is survived by daughter, Nicolette (Richard) Stubberud of Webster City; son, John “Daniel” (Kelly) Larson of Duncanville, TX; son-in-law, Angelo Cipale of Des Moines; and grandchildren, Angelo John Cipale and Sierra Stubberud; his feline companion, Missy and faithful dog, Hunter.

John was preceded in death by his wife, Donna; daughter, Deborah Cipale; his parents; grandchildren, Hannah Mae and Noah Dale Stubberud; siblings, Darwin Larson, Sandy Powell, Delores Bennett, and Darlene Griffin.

He was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness in Clarion. John enjoyed woodworking, watching the birds and the company of his King Charles Cavaliers.
