Delores Boldon
Delores Boldon, 93, of Webster City, died Tuesday, May 14, 2024, peacefully at her home surrounded by family. Per her wishes, private family services will be held. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center has assisted the family.
Delores Mae Bige, daughter of Martin and Ida (Ratcliff) Bige, was born January 8, 1931, on the family farm near Woolstock. She attended Oak Glenn Country Schools and Lincoln High School in Webster City. Delores was a stay-at-home mom until her boys were grown. She was a waitress for Brown Cafe and Shady Oaks, owned and operated a bar and restaurant in Radcliffe, helped care for numerous people in their homes and worked at the Daily Freeman Journal in the classifieds for many years.
She is survived by her sons, Mike Boldon of Osceola, Randy (LaDonna) Boldon of Webster City; grandchildren, Mindy, Margo, Jason, Blake and Marissa; great-grandchildren, Avery, Caleb, Nazareth, Quinton, Tasia and Tensley; and great-great-granddaughter, Lei’ Lani.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Kenneth Bige; sister, Sharon Prochaska and great-granddaughter, Tyanna Boston.
She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. Delores was a member of the Webster City Women’s Club and the past president of the PTA at Sunset Heights School. She enjoyed playing bridge and 500 and helping with Meals on Wheels. Delores especially enjoyed the time spent with her family and bird watching.
