Alan Caruth
Alan Dee Caruth, 83, of Dows, Iowa, passed away May 7, 2024, in Mesa, Arizona. Services for Alan Caruth will be 1:30 pm Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Williams, Iowa. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday at the Linn’s Funeral Home Iowa Falls Chapel. Burial will be at Vernon Township Lutheran Cemetery. Alan was born on December 23, 1940, in the Hamilton Hospital, in Webster City, Iowa to Andrew and Clesine Marie (Otteros) Caruth. He graduated from Williams High School Class of 1959. He then began farming with his dad, as his family also owned a trucking business and needed his help. He ended up purchasing a straight truck and became part of Caruth Trucking for many years. On February 24, 1962, he and Shary Beisner were united in marriage at Trinity Lutheran Church, in Webster City. They were blessed with 62 years of marriage and two sons. Ky Alan was born on August 3, 1963, and passed away due to SIDS on October 3, 1963. Their second son, Culley Caruth, was born on November 4, 1970, and is engaged in farming the family farms, and is a blessing to our family.
