Mae Tolle

Mae Tolle, 87, of Webster City died Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Van Diest Medical Center. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 30, 2023 at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Cass Center Cemetery, north of Webster City. Mae Francis Tolle, daughter of Edward and Nina (Crow) Clabaugh, was born June 13, 1936 in Webster City. She was educated in the Webster City school district. On August 2, 1952, Mae was united in marriage to Arthur R. Tolle Sr. at the parsonage of the Church of Christ in Webster City. The couple resided in Webster City where she worked at Rocky’s Pizza and as a bookkeeper for many years at Art’s Auto Repair with her husband. Mae and Art enjoyed many years wintering in Arizona following their retirement. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Art; their children, Art (Miki) Tolle Jr. of Littleton, CO, John Tolle, Paul (Connie) Tolle, Barbara Allbee and Tyler Tolle all of Webster City; sisters, Edna Hartnett of Webster City, Mary Wise of Hemet, CA; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and many extended family members. Mae was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Edward Clabaugh Jr.; son, Mark Tolle; daughter-in-law, Debra Tolle; grandson, Joseph Tolle; great-grandson, Dalton Ryder; brothers-in-law, Tom Hartnett and Albert Wise. She was a member of the New Testament Church of Christ and a past member of the Moose Lodge. Mae enjoyed quilting, reading, cooking, going to garage sales, but most importantly she loved time spent with her family and grandchildren.
