Wilma “Jean” Humble Belew, 83, Webster City died Tuesday, August 29th, 2023, at her home.

She was born the daughter of James and Hazel (Beard) Humble on August 26, 1940 in Webster City, Iowa and received her education in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She was married on August 6th, 1965, in Elkhorn, SD, to the love of her life, Kenneth Ray Belew. They made their home in Webster City and prior to her retirement, she worked at several local companies including: Rocky’s Pizza, Woolworths, Fareway, VanTec, and co-managed Hunter Handy’s Stop convenience store, with her husband, when it moved to 1803 Superior Street. They were blessed to retire together. Her many hobbies included crocheting, doll making, knitting, sewing and cooking. She was very good at all of them.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Bill) Conaway, Cindy (Ivan) Angstrom, both of Webster City, Step-daughters, Linda Culpepper, Tempe, AZ and Brenda (Henry) Schafer, Tucson, AZ. Seven grandchildren, Michelle Planek, William Culpepper III, Jenni Moreno, Preston Angstrom, Stacey Mahajan, Amber Kastler, Bryan Conaway and fourteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Ann Humble, Webster City, Evelyn Nourse, Des Moines a brother-in-law Clifford (Anita) Belew of Montana as well as many nieces and nephews . She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, Richard, and step-daughter Judith.

At her request, there will be no public service.
