Susan Stephenson Trusty

Susan Jean Stephenson was born on January 12, 1951, to Russell and Eva Jean (Blau) Stephenson in Webster City, Iowa. She was raised in Williams, Iowa, and graduated from Northeast Hamilton CSD in Blairsburg, Iowa, in 1969.

Susan married her friend of many years, Phil Trusty, on August 27, 1994, in Webster City, and they resided in Eagle Grove. In addition to her husband Phil, she is survived by her two stepsons, Grant Trusty and Drew Trusty. She will be greatly missed by her brother, Thomas Stephenson (Jeff Ebner) of Las Vegas, Nevada, and sister, Alice Worthington (Doug) and brother, Ed Stephenson (Deb), all of Fort Myers, Florida, along with her nieces and nephews, including five great-nieces. She enjoyed a special closeness with her Aunt Jo (Mel) Schroeder of Fort Dodge. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Sue enjoyed crafting, hunting, gardening and especially, her beloved dogs, Ellen and Rosie who gave her many years of joy. She had a kind and giving heart and a unique sense of humor, of which she enjoyed sharing with her many friends.

Susan’s life will be celebrated by her family at a later date.
