TRENDI RANEE PHILLIPS

Trendi Ranee Phillips entered the gates of heaven on Monday March 15th, 2021. She was a beautiful bright soul who was full of life, laughter, faith, and compassion. She fought a courageous 6-year battle with cancer. She was 50 years old.

Trendi was born in Webster City, Iowa on December 26, 1970 to Leonard and Kathy Moss. She graduated from Webster City High School in 1989. Trendi started college in Iowa, but after some long Iowa winters, she packed her bags and headed to the warmth of Phoenix, AZ to start a new chapter of her life. She eventually moved to San Diego where she met Roger Phillips and together, they had a son, Kai Phillips who is now 12. Trendi was an amazing mother and Kai was her world. She loved him deeply and was so proud of him. Trendi had a strong faith and we know there will always be an angel overlooking Kai. She encouraged others to join her faith so we could all meet again in heaven. Trendi’s fun-loving spirit and welcoming smile made her friends with many. She often spoke of family and friends given the impact they had on her life. Trendi spent many years in sales while living in San Diego and was most recently employed with Mega Auto Finance where they treated her like family, and for that we are grateful.

This is not a good-bye, but until we meet again. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. She is survived by her son Kai Phillips; parents Leonard and Kathy Moss; Brother Troy Moss (Mindy), nephews Cade, Cole, Cale, and Chase Moss; grandparent Joann Biggs, Ex in-laws Mike and Linda Freely and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was proceeded in death by her grandparents – Rosalie and Harold Moss, Melvin Biggs; and her aunt Marsha Moss. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Foster Funeral & Cremation Center, with visitation Wednesday evening from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
