Sandra Malaise, 77, of Woolstock died Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Paula J. Baber Hospice Home. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center. Burial will follow at French Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Sandra Lee Chapman, daughter of Gerald and Virginia Stout Chapman, was born February 20, 1943 in Clarion. She graduated from Clarion High School. In 1961, she was united in marriage to Alvin L. Jacobs at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. To this union, two children were born. The couple later divorced. Sandra married Thomas D. Malaise in 1979. She was employed for many years at MidAmerican Energy. Following her retirement, she worked part-time at Eagle Grove Schools.
She is survived by her children, Laura Lea Mernka of Fort Dodge, Ken Jacobs of Burnsville, MN; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Marilyn Kastler of Woolstock, Beth Hilpipre of Woolstock, Bob Chapman of Des Moines, Dave Chapman of Fort Dodge, Jerry Chapman of Clarion and many extended family and friends.
Sandra is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas; her 4-legged fur-child, Wednesday; her parents; siblings, Pat Hernandez, Ron Chapman and Dan Chapman.
She was a member of the Woolstock Methodist Church and loved time spent with family and friends.
