LISA BARTLETT

Lisa Bartlett, 40, of Iowa Falls, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021 at her home. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Thursday, February 25, 2021 at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Williams. She will be laid to rest at the Vernon Township Lutheran Cemetery, rural Dows. Visitation will be from 4-6 PM on Wednesday, February 24 at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Williams and from 9:30 AM until service time on Thursday at the church. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the family. Woodley Funeral Home, LLC of Iowa Falls is caring for Lisa and her family.

Lisa Annette (Heiden) Bartlett was born September 8, 1980 to Jim and Jan (Lauterbach) Heiden. Lisa graduated from Northeast Hamilton Community School. She then attended Ellsworth Community College and the University of Northern Iowa. She graduated with an Elementary Education Degree and then received her master’s degree in Library Science. Lisa taught at Northeast Hamilton Community School before joining Iowa Falls Elementary as the Library Media Specialist. On July 25, 2015 Lisa was united in marriage to James Chase Bartlett at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Williams, Iowa.

Lisa was adventurous, had a quick wit, a great sense of humor and a love for reading. She especially loved reading to her students and sharing her passion for space exploration. She enjoyed bird watching, monarch butterflies and spending time on the farm. Anyone acquainted with Lisa knew her love for Iowa Hawkeye sports, the Wizard of Oz and playing bingo. Her greatest joy in life came from spending time with her family, especially her ten nieces and nephews. She cherished her many friends and her dog, Oscar.

Lisa Bartlett is survived by her husband, James Bartlett of Iowa Falls, Iowa; parents, Jim and Jan Heiden of Williams, Iowa; sister, Trisha (Matt) Zoske of Conrad, Iowa; brothers, Anthony (Erin) Heiden of Alden, Iowa and Tyler (Amanda) Heiden of Latimer, Iowa; nieces and nephews: Calvin Zoske, Daniel Zoske, Adelynn Zoske, Hailey Zoske, Magdalen Heiden, Hattie Heiden, Leo Heiden, Chandler Heiden, Colbie Heiden, Jettsen Heiden; father and mother in-law, James and Marsha Bartlett of Grand Island, Florida; sister in-law, Katey (Kevin) Burger of Cedar Grove, Indiana and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents.
