JUNE RUNNION

June A Runnion was born June 2, 1924, and died on Jan 29, 2021. Her parents were Melvin Juberg and Vila Julian Juberg of Lamoure, N.D. They moved to Minneapolis during the war years where June worked as a scheduler for the railroad.

She met Ed Erickson who accompanied Jerry Juberg, the brother who brought his Navy buddy home to meet his little sister. They hit it off quite successfully, married, and moved to Webster City, IA after the war. They had two children, Steve Erickson of Longmont, CO, and Karen Erickson of Ft Collins, CO. Ed died due to illness in 1962.

In 1968 June then married Dale Runnion in Denver and they started on their long and successful careers in the cattle business in a variety of ventures but finally began publishing the Limousin Journal and later the Limousin World out of Ft Collins. They traveled the world for the magazine in addition to personal travels that they both loved. Dale’s children were gladly welcomed to the family; they are James Runnion of Chicago, Joy Runnion Pruitt of Greenwood Village, CO, and G. Lee Runnion of Lakewood, CO. Preceding June in death were her husband Dale and son John Runnion of Birmingham, AL.

June will be entering the columbarium (which we prefer to call the penthouse apartment) with Dale at a later time when we all can get together and tell thousands of June and Dale stories and laugh once again. It’s possible that reports of raucous parties will commence after the penthouse is all closed up. They both had many friends who were waiting for June to make up her mind and she finally did.
