HAROLD ‘H’ MADSEN

Harold “H” Madsen, 76, of Webster City died Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Unity Point Hospital – Fort Dodge. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 22, 2021 at Foster Funeral & Cremation Center with Dan Corrow, officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.

Harold George Madsen Jr., son of Harold and LaThella Short Madsen, was born September 30, 1944 in Webster City. He graduated from Webster City High School in 1962. H was united in marriage to Sheri Campidilli on August 23, 1964 at Grace United Methodist Church in Webster City. He worked along side his father in the family construction business, Madsen Construction, later becoming the owner. He built numerous homes in the Webster City area before retiring.

H is survived by his daughter, Debby Madsen-Sitzmann of Fort Dodge; son, Todd Madsen (Chasity Olson) of Webster City; grandchildren, Tristan Sitzmann, Payton Sitzmann, Jacob Hirsch, Madison Miller, and Lane Olson; sister, LaDel Iverson of Webster City and many extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Sheri; his parents and son, Joseph A. Madsen, in infancy.

H was a charter member of the Hamilton County Pheasants Forever. H enjoyed the simple things in life and was an avid outdoorsman. He loved fishing in Minnesota and earned the nickname “Captain”, mushroom hunting in the Spring and turkey and deer hunting in Southern Iowa. H cherished time spent going to grandkids sporting events especially wrestling, trips with friends to the races supporting, sponsoring and being part of the pit crew for T53.
