Services for Bill Fastenow, 87, of Creston, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 20, 2021 at the United Church of Christ Congregational in Creston. The Service will also be Live Streamed on the Powers Funeral Home Facebook Page. Open visitation from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday with family receiving friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday at Powers Funeral Home in Creston. Online condolences may be given at www.powersfh.com
William Charles Fastenow, Jr., son of William and Emma (Haase) Fastenow, was born on March 6, 1933, in Webster City, Ia. He graduated from Webster City High School in 1951.
On May 22, 1955, Bill was united in marriage to Virginia Lee Baker in Webster City. They moved to Marshalltown, then to Hannibal, Mo., working as an adjustor. In 1957, they move to Creston. Bill was a member of the United Church of Christ Congregational and the Elks Lodge
Surviving Bill are his son, Tom (Monica) Fastenow; daughter Diane (Tom) Palmer; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren brother-in-law Larry Brownfield, 3 nieces, 4 nephews and other family. Preceded in death by wife Virginia in 2013, two sisters, Kathleen (Don) Casey and Bill’s twin, Betty (Bill) Bergen, sister-in-law Bonnie Brownfield .
