EVELYN H. WILLE

Evelyn was born to Edward and Mathilda Challe on February 10, 1919 in Webster City. She graduated from the Jewell High School and then attend the 2 year State Teacher’s College in Cedar Falls, and then later went on to attended Drake University, graduating in 1968. Evelyn married Byron J. Wille in Jewell, IA on August 2, 1947. She taught elementary school in Albion, Dumont, Williams and Northeast Hamilton.

She was a member of the NEA, and American Legion Auxiliary. Evelyn enjoyed reading the newspaper, playing dominoes, watching college sports, traveling, fishing, all music, playing the piano, and most of all being with her family, friends, and fur babies. Evelyn was a loving mother, friend to many, and a sweet and caring person, who always had a smile on her face and never said an unkind word about anyone.

Her family includes: daughters: Deborah Lancaster and Barbara (Mark) Lauthen; daughter-in-law Lori Wille; grandchildren: Wade (Amy) Lancaster, Joe (Stacey) Lancaster, Michael Lauthen, Laura (Kenny) O’Brien and Lindsey (Garett) Burkhart; 12 great-grandchildren; and special cousin Thomas Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband; and son Joe Wille.
