DOROTHY MAE ROBB

Dorothy Mae (Buff) Robb, age 89 of Story City, Iowa died on September 14, 2020. The family held a private burial service Saturday, September 19 at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery in rural Garden City, Iowa

Dorothy was born on May 5, 1931. She was the daughter of Albert and Almira Christopher from Eagle Grove.

On December 11, 1949 she married Paul W. [Buck] Robb. The couple farmed near Webster City, Kamrar, and Garden City, Iowa until they retired and moved to Story City. Paul resides at 721 8th Street, Story City, IA 50248.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Paul, along with their four children: Susan Holdgrafer Emmett of Ellsworth, Iowa; Bill (JoAnn) Robb of Webster City, Iowa; Rodney (Laurie) Robb of Kelly, Iowa; and Lana (Wendell) Day of Des Moines, Iowa. The seven grandchildren include: Cody Holdgrafer of Ellsworth, Iowa; Shane Holdgrafer of Radcliffe, Iowa; Sherri (Josh) Baldwin of Belmond, Iowa; Justin (Gretchen) Robb of Minneapolis, MN; David Day, Daniel Day, both from Iowa City, Iowa. and Deanna (Zac) Rudolph from Des Moines, Iowa. Great-grandchildren include: Jaxson, Charlie and Tucker Baldwin; Her two surviving sisters include: Marguerite (Jack) Middleton of Eagle Grove, now Ankeny, Iowa; and Ruby Baumeister of Osage Beach, MO.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Russell Christopher, Eagle Grove, Iowa; sister and brother-in-law, Jeanette and Harold Mueller of St. Louis, Missouri; and two sons-in-laws, Richard Holdgrafer and Wayne Emmett.

Dorothy was an active partner with her husband, Paul, when they farmed. She enjoyed sitting down to a cup of coffee with friends and neighbors. Camping on weekends or traveling to warmer places during the winter months for many years was something Dorothy and Paul enjoyed together. However, her favorite time was being surrounded by family members, grandchildren and her great grandchildren.
