CLIFFORD CAQUELIN

Clifford Raymond Caquelin died peacefully at home near Hokah, MN on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at age 100. He was born June 3, 1920 near Woolstock, Iowa to Raymond and Emma (Brandt) Caquelin. He married Arlene Lucille Hiemstra on June 15th, 1941 and she passed away in 2000. Cliff kept her ashes by his bedside thereafter.

Cliff farmed in Iowa and Minnesota with his farm in Houston County, MN being his home for over 50 years. In younger years, he raced cars and rode motorcycle but his true love was being a cowboy somewhat disguised as a farmer.

Cliff is survived by his three daughters, Jackie Cornwell (Gale) of Eau Galle, Wi, Lynette Rhodes of Eau Claire, WI and Penny Mormann (Robert) of Hokah, MN. He has five grandchildren: Cindy Fuerstneau(Kevin)of Wabasha, MN; Brian Cornwell (Sherry) of Big Lake, MN; Ben Rhodes (Tammy) of Eau Claire, WI; Amanda Rhodes (Nick) of Madison, WI and Joshua Mormann of Winona, MN. He also has 6 great grandchildren and eight great, great grandchildren. He was proud of all of them.

Cliff was preceded in death by his wife Arlene, a sister, two brothers, a son-in-law, baby granddaughter and many special friends and relatives.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date for Clifford and Arlene at the French Church Cemetery near Woolstock, Iowa.
