JUDY KLAVER

Judy Klaver, 79 of Kamrar died Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at Southfield Wellness Community. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 16, 2019, at First Presbyterian Church south of Kamrar. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service at the church. Foster Funeral & Cremation Center is entrusted with the services.

Judith (Judy) Kay Crouch, daughter of Denny and Ann Reynolds Crouch was born October 3, 1940, in Webster City. She graduated from Williams High School in 1958, and also attended Iowa Methodist School of Nursing. On April 9, 1961, she married Verlon Klaver. They resided and farmed in Kamrar. They were blessed with a son, Barry and a daughter, Kristin.

For several years Judy worked at the Hamilton County Hospital and a doctor’s office. She was the Postmaster in Kamrar for 20 years, retiring in 2003, after a total of 24 years with the postal service.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Judy was an avid reader, loved doing crosswords, playing cards, golfing and traveling with Verlon.

Judy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Kristen Klaver and their children Jacob (Alyssa) and family Kane and Knox; Shane; and Trevor and fiancee Mallory. She is also survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kristin and Gary Pruismann and their children Gregory (Emily) and family Quynn, Briggs and Hank; Kellie and son, James; Katelin (Brady) and son Heath.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Verlon in 2010 and infant son, Brian.

Memorials in Judy’s memory may be given to the Kendall Young Library.
