NORVAL STORY
Norval Story, 96, of Woolstock, went to his heavenly home, Friday, November 30, 2018 at Crestview Nursing and Rehabilitation. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Reverend Mike Kroona, officiating. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery with military rites following the services. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the church.
Norval Noel Story, son of Noel and Anna Thoma Story, was born, May 16, 1922 on the family farm near Williams. He attended country schools. Norval served in the Army Air Corp from 1942 to 1944. He married LaVonne Hilpipre on March 10, 1943 at Williams. Norval farmed land between Woolstock and Clarion.
He is survived by his wife, LaVonne of Webster City; children, Sharon Fisher of Des Moines, Carole (Ivan) Pigsley of Webster City, 8 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Gaster of Nevada and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, George, Gerald and Ernest Story and son-in-law, Marty Fisher.
Norval was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the American Legion Post #191.
Memorials may be left to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in memory of Norval.
