Bobby Joe Johnson was born Aug. 28, 1986 in Webster City to Elvin Johnson and Sherry Bailey Johnson. Bobby loved to spend time with his kids. Bobby was an avid hunter and fisherman. The last years of his life were spent in Stanhope, IA, where he continued to hunt and fish in his spare time. Bobby started a battle with cancer at the age of 17. Bobby won his battle against cancer until it took his life on Oct. 24, 2018.

Bobby is survived by his father, Elvin (Robin) Johnson, of Stanhope; his grandmother Amelia Schweertman of Stanhope; two brothers Brian and Brady Johnson of Stanhope and a sister, Aimee Jo Kelly of Webster City; his two children, Ellie and Hunter Johnson of Chapman, KS., and the mother of his children, Brandie Vandivier; his niece Taylor and nephews Trystan and Daimeen; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Bobby was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cindy and Ted Bailey, and Herman Schweertman; his mother Sherry on Feb. 10, 2017 and his aunt, Robin Johnson.

Bobby will forever be remembered, loved and missed by his family and so many friends we couldn’t begin to count them all. Blessed be the memory of Bobby Johnson. Fly high, blue eyes.
