Bernice “Bee” Goretska, 76 of Webster City, died on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at Van Diest Medical Center in Webster City. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date at Cass Center Cemetery. The family has chosen Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) to care for their needs.
Bee was born on June 1, 1942 to Kendall and Effie May (Loughry) Schwiebert in the Hamilton County Hospital. She attended school in graduating from the Webster City High School. Bee married Robert Goretska on May 26, 1960 at St Paul’s Lutheran Church in Webster City. She was employed at Ukers Sewing Machine Shop.
Bee was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Webster City where she was a part of the Ladies Aid and the Hand Bell Choir. She enjoyed reading, embroidery, cooking and baking.
Bee’s family includes her husband Bob; daughter Gina Sue Ireland; four grandchildren Bethany (Brett) Nichols & Colton Ireland (fiance Courtney Read); three great-grandchildren; 3 brothers-in-law; two aunts- two sisters; several nieces and nephew; and her friend/sister Kathy Pagel. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Rob, and her son-in-law Randy Ireland.
