Police Reports

On Dec. 5 the Webster City Police Department was dispatched to the west side of Overpass Drive for a vehicle that had rolled over. Upon arrival Officer Joel Delaney found the car had reportedly rolled over and the driver was not inside the vehicle. As the accident was being investigated, Marvin J. Kleckner, Webster City, showed up to the scene. Kleckner reportedly told Officer Delaney since he only lived down the road, he went home to get his dad. Kleckner reportedly told Officer Delaney he lost control due to the slick roads coming over the overpass. Kleckner was heading west when his car spun around and was facing east. When he made it to the grass his vehicle rolled over landing on the wheels. Kleckner was checked out by the ambulance for minor injuries. There were no citations issued. Kleckner’s vehicle sustained an estimated $8,000 in severe damage and was totaled. Kleckner’s vehicle was towed by a privated company.

On Dec. 4, Pedro Lopez-Cedillo, Webster City, was traveling west bound on Bank Street. Lopez-Cedillo was reportedly impaired and attempted to make a right hand turn onto Funk Street. Lopez-Cedillo lost control and collided into a utility pole located on the west side on Funk Street. Lopez-Cedillo then reportedly left the scene without reporting the incident. There were no injuries. Lopez-Cedillo’s vehicle sustained an estimated $2,000 in disabling damage.

Dane L. Stewart, Webster City, and Darcy R. Swon, Stratford, were traveling westbound on Bank Street on Dec. 3. Swon was stopped at the stop sign waiting for traffic to pass. Stewart did not stop in time and struck Swon’s vehicle. The left front of Stewart’s vehicle struck the right rear of Swon’s vehicle. There were no injuries. Stewart’s vehicle sustained an estimated $1,000 in minor damage. Swon’s vehicle sustained an estimated $500 in minor damage.

Joshua J. Briese, Williams, was arrested on Nov. 27 for operating while intoxicated.

Riley D. Beightol-Heiden, Webster City, was arrested on Nov. 24 for public intoxication.

Derek R. Wagner, Webster City, was arrested on Nov. 23 for driving while license suspended and drug paraphernalia.
