Tickets on sale today for ‘The Prince of Egypt’ at Iowa Central

Iowa Central Community College’s Center for Performing Arts announces that tickets for the stage musical “The Prince of Egypt” are on sale now. The musical will be performed at Decker Auditorium located at 1 Triton Circle in Fort Dodge. Performances are Feb. 25 through March 1. Tickets can be purchased by going to Iowa Central Center for Performing Arts Ticketing at https://www.iowacentral.edu/centerforperformingarts/tickets.asp or call the box office at 515-574-1210. The box office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon.

Supervisors meet today

The regular meeting of the Hamilton County Board of Supervisors will be held on Tuesday at the Hamilton County Courthouse. The Hamilton County Courthouse is located at 2300 Superior St. in Webster City. The meeting will also be audio streamed. On the agenda are reports from the Veteran Affairs office and Upper Des Moines Opportunity. There will also be several items concerning contracts and agreements. Two Webster City students named to Fall Term Dean’s List

Wartburg College has recognized 570 students who were named to the 2025 Fall Term Dean’s List. Two Webster City students were among those earning recognition on the Dean’s List for fall of 2025. Those honored include: Alondra Johnson Santana, of Webster City. Gabriel Ruby, of Webster City. Wartburg College is a four-year liberal arts college internationally recognized for community engagement.

Two Hamilton County fire departments to receive cost-share grants to prevent wildfires

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources announced Tuesday that nearly $350,000 in 50 percent cost-share grants were awarded to 105 Iowa rural fire departments to help their efforts to protect Iowans and their property from wildfire. Two Hamilton County fire departments will receive funding for the program. They are the Jewell and Kamrar Fire Departments. The grants offer valuable funding assistance for wildfire suppression personal protective and communications equipment. The grants will provide extrication gloves, new fire hose and hose nozzles.
