Two major events have been announced by members of the Webster City Women's Club at the Jane Young House.
Now is the time to sign up for the 5th Annual Festival of Trees, which will be held on December 4 and 5. Community members, individuals, organizations and businesses can sign up now to participate by bringing a tree and decorating it for this annual fundraiser for the Jane Young House.
But as planning begins for decorating trees for the Christmas event, another event will be occurring that will allow participants to decorate themselves, as they present an evening celebrating Halloween,.
As they invite visitors in, the ladies of the house encourage participation from their visitors, as they say...."Come in costume if you dare!"
This first ever event is for the ladies to get into the spirit of Halloween, with a night designed just for them.
"Gouls' Night Out" will be held on Oct. 30 in celebration of Halloween. The $10 admission will allow entry into the home full of goulish snacks and drinks, tours of the home, and Halloween trivia.
At 7 p.m. there will entertainment from the "Over the Speed Limit Players," a division of the Webster City Community Theatre, as they present a production of the play,
"Love, Loss and What I Wore" a humorous and poignant play connecting women and their wardrobe.
All proceeds from these events help support the Webster City Women's Club and the Jane Young House.
