Applications for the Gift Tree Program (formerly Angel Tree) are now available at the Upper Des Moines Opportunity offices.
The 2026 Gift Tree Program (formerly known as the Angel Tree) is accepting applications for children in the Webster City area. The Gift Tree Program's mission is to help families in need provide Christmas gifts for their children who are 18 years old and younger.
This year there have been changes made to the Gift Tree Program. Eligibility for the program will now be based on income guidelines, and Upper Des Moines Opportunity will process all applications. The 2026 suggested spending limit is $100 per child, so if planning to submit an application, please the wish list accordingly.
Applications can be picked up at Upper Des Moines Opportunity, located at 1610 Collins St., Suite 4, Webster City. All completed application need to be returned to Upper Des Moines Opportunity as soon as possible. The application deadline is October 29, and there will be no late applications accepted.
Please make note that there will be multiple designated gift pick-up sites, therefore applications must have reliable contact information so that applicants can be contacted with the pick-up location of their gifts. The pick-up date for gifts will be Sunday, December 13, from 2-4 p.m., or by prior arrangement.
