The Webster City High School marching band, the Lynx Imperials were center stage Monday night at the Webster City High School Football field, where there were no touchdowns, no first downs, not even a football in sight. It was a beautiful night for the marching band as they performed their shows, and celebrated the end of a great season as they demonstrated their skills at their annual Marching Band Showcase. The Iowa Central Triton Marching Band also joined the Lynx Imperials for the evening.
"One of the highlights was welcoming audience members onto the field to march along side our students," said Kaitlynn Abens, Band Director for the Webster City High School. "This was a favorite part of the night and a fun way to involve our community in the performance."
The marching band will be switching to concert band music to prepare for holiday concerts.
