It's a night for the ladies, from far and near, and more than ever, a night for laughter, shopping, holiday browsing and enjoying the amenities and special activities throughout the night. Ladies Night Out in Webster City is the best night of the year to get out, explore, and enjoy retailers and restaurants here in Webster City

So what makes it so special?

It's the food and drinks, the previews of holiday decor and shopping. It's creating memories with friends, inspiring people to decorate, redesign and dream.

And the weather will be perfect for a night on the town.

"Ladies Night Out is a wonderful opportunity to bring our community together, support our local businesses, and enjoy all that Webster City has to offer." said Monica Haberman, President of the Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce. "The participating businesses do a great job coming together to plan this event and have some really fun things lined up."

There are discounts and crafts, drawings, food, special services, samples of new products, scratch tickets, dinner specials, drink specials, music and so much more!

One of the greatest additions is at the Wildcat Distillery, now located in the 700 block of Second St. With their new location in The Elks, the Wildcat is hosting a Husband Daycare for those men who don't want to miss out on all the fun. Pop-up businesses will also be located within The Elks, showing off the versatility and space that can be used in various ways.

"Shoppers can expect in-store promotions, scratch off tickets with mystery discounts, live music, pop-up vendors, and even husband daycare," said Haberman. "We're grateful to the participating businesses and everyone who comes out to make this event a success each year."

More than 20 area businesses will be participating in both store front locations and as pop-up vendors, who are anxious to say thanks for the support over the years, and allow residents to meet, greet and browse the many different opportunities in the city. From Seneca St. to Des Moines, along Second Street and throughout the main streets of the downtown, there are charcuterie boards to buy and try, beverages to sample, and many places to visit.

"It's a day and night to give back to the people who have supported us all year round," Peggy Joslin, owner of Country Twist Boutique said. "I go all out for my ladies."

The Daily Freeman Journal has added the Merchant Puzzler feature where a scavenger type event will identify stores and employees throughout the downtown area who are featured in the newspaper and their special flyers. Today's paper has a form that when completed correctly, will be put into a drawing for a basket worth nearly $400.

As much as the local traffic is expected to be out in force for the event, there will be many from out of town who will make downtown Webster City even more alive.

"60% of the people in my store are from out of town," said Joslin, "It's a big deal, and my people are asking about what will be happening during Ladies Night Out."

Ladies Night Out is a chance to show off just how great Webster City businesses are, and the excitement and fun can encourage new business start-ups in the future. It's how some of our newest businesses in downtown Webster City started, and the local businesses are excited to encourage more to join them.

You won't know what to expect until you walk into a store and begin to look around, as the merchants bring their A game for service, looking for a chance to know their customers and provide an evening of fun for all.

It's Ladies Night Out.....all day long....with pop-up businesses joining in the fun at 4 p.m.

Let's all be out there and support our businesses!
